BCC Introduces the 2019 Clubhouse Staff

In just a few short weeks it will be opening day on the golf course at BCC and soon after, the swimming pool will also open for the season.  While we semi-patiently await springtime in Vermont, the Clubhouse staff continues to prepare for the busy months ahead.  We would like to take a minute to formally introduce ourselves and explain how we may be of assistance to you:

From the Business Office...

Jason Shattie, General Manager, recently celebrated his 10th work anniversary at the Burlington Country Club.  Jason is a Vermont native who lives in Charlotte with his wife and two daughters.  He spent the first 6 years at BCC as the Superintendent until he transitioned into the GM position in the spring of 2015.  Jason is passionate about providing the highest standards and experience to the membership and is looking forward to seeing BCC flourish for many years to come.

Brittany Melvin, Director of Sales & Marketing, is moving into her 6th season at the Burlington Country Club.  Brittany grew up in Vermont and is a Champlain College graduate now living in South Burlington with her husband.  Brittany started at BCC selling and coordinating events and in 2016, she also took on the membership sales and marketing of the Club.  If you are interested in hosting an event or learning more about membership opportunities at BCC, please don't hesitate to reach out for more information!

Kat Hamling, Business Office Administrator, started at the Burlington Country Club in April of 2015.  She grew up in the Hudson Valley of NY and came to Vermont to study entrepreneurship at our neighbor, UVM.  Kat started in the Member Services role and quickly transitioned into the Business Office Administrator role handling the daily bookkeeping, member accounts and HR duties.

Aleksey Jordick, Member Services, is local to Chittenden County growing up in Williston and graduating from the University of Vermont.  Aleksey began at BCC in the spring of 2017 serving in the restaurant and accepted the Member Services position later that fall.  Daily, Aleksey provides the membership with assistance regarding the Club and their membership and keeps the members up to date weekly on Club happenings.

From the Food & Beverage Team...

Ian Delorme recently began working at BCC as the Restaurant Manager bringing over 25 years of hospitality experience to the Club. He lives in Burlington with his wife and son and he is excited to elevate the member experience in the restaurant.  In his short time here, Ian has redefined the BCC Vintner's Club, renaming it the BCC Fine Wine Guild, which will include wine locker storage, wine tastings, wine dinners an educational series and retail wine purchasing abilities.  Ian can't wait to make his mark at BCC.

Ned Robinson is also going into his first season at BCC as the Event Manager.  Ned grew up in Colorado and graduated with a Grande Diplome in both Cuisine and Pastry from the Le Cordon Bleu Academy of Culinary Arts in Paris, France.  Ned has chef and bartending experience, but has since become passionate about delivering unforgettable events.  Ned, his wife and their dog recently purchased a home in Westford and are excited to call Vermont their home.

Executive Chef, Shawn Calley, has been with BCC since August 2015.  Chef Shawn was raised in Michigan, but now resides in Vermont with his wife and son.  He is a believer in sourcing local product and with seasonal menu changes, the member experience always remains fresh.  Chef Shawn has won several culinary awards, receiving the title of Vermont Chef of the Year in 2015 from the Vermont Chamber of Commerce and is also a 4-time champion of the Cancer Patient Support Foundation's Culinary Classic!

Anthony Perreault, Sous Chef, has worked by Chef Shawn's side since spring 2016.  Anthony leads the line during the daytime bringing a focus to necessary speed at a fast-paced restaurant.  His talents do not stop there as he is also takes the lead for our Club and private events catering at times to over 200 guests.  Anthony is a devoted father to two daughters.

Kyle Wescott, Sous Chef, joined the Food & Beverage team in March 2017.  He is a native Vermonter who previously worked with Chef Shawn at the Essex Resort & Spa.  Kyle graduated from New England Culinary Institute and interned with Daniel Boulud at his New York City restaurant establishments.  Kyle brings an artistic flare to his culinary creations.

From all of us to you, we look forward to spending time with you whether it's as a member or a guest of the Burlington Country Club!
